Martino’s Announces Closing After almost 48 Years of Serving the Community

Last Day of Service is December 19, 2025

After nearly five decades of serving Milwaukee with our signature hot dogs, homemade comfort food, bakery, and warm hospitality, Martino’s will be closing it’s doors on 13th & Layton Ave. This decision did not come easily, but after 48 wonderful years, we are filled with gratitude for the countless memories, friendships, and stories shared within these walls.

Over the decades, one of the greatest rewards has been watching our patrons grow and return. We’ve had the privilege of seeing children who once came in with their parents now walk through our doors with families of their own – a true testament to the sense of community and tradition that has surrounded Martino’s since the beginning.

Equally rewarding has been watching our incredible staff grow alongside us. We’ve been fortunate to work with so many dedicated team members who have flourished in their skills and confidence, and professionalism, all while upholding the spirit of hospitality that defines Martino’s. Their commitment to providing warm, genuine service has played an essential role in the memories we’ve created together.

Today we are missing our founder, Mary Anderson, whose vision and hard work brought Martino’s to life on February 14,1977. She built a place where everyone felt welcome and cared for. Martino’s stands as a reflection of her heart, and we are endlessly grateful for the legacy she created.

As we close this chapter, we do so with immense appreciation for every customer, employee, and friend who has been a part of the Martino’s story. While our restaurant will no longer operate in its current form, we are exploring new opportunities and remain hopeful for what the future may bring.

From the bottom of our hearts- thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives, your celebrations, and your everyday moments for so many years. Martino’s has always been more than a restaurant; it has been a family. And though our doors may close for now, that family will always remain. Stay tuned for the next chapter…
